Our founder has always been passionate about numbers. Before establishing Friendly Assist Accountancy, he conducted scientific research at the University of Jena in Germany and tutored students in statistics and mathematics.
After moving to Newcastle, Steffen gained valuable work experience with various firms and sole traders in the region. He began his studies with the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and earned a diploma in professional accounting.
In 2025, Steffen founded Friendly Assist Accountancy to provide services to businesses in the North East, as well as internationally and across the UK, with the goal of helping them become more tax-efficient.
With a flexible, personalized, and practical approach to finance, Steffen is transforming the way accountants serve their clients, offering knowledge, experience, and advice to help businesses grow and thrive.

Katrin has joined the team as a client coordinator. With her background in counselling, she offers valuable knowledge and experience. Her responsibilities are diverse, including client interactions, managing bookkeeping, and scheduling appointments.
